Daniel Dunn

Name: Daniel Dunn

Country: U.S.A.

Occupation: spatial analyst, photographer, project skeptic

Specialty: habitat modeling, MPA designation

Best part about my job: It's all about tiny tasks that I get to reward myself for finishing.  I like rewards.

Biggest challenges I face: Dealing with amazingly vague error statements... seriously!

The most unusual or exciting thing that's happened to me while working in the field: you think they let me go into the field?  Ha!  Okay- watching an ~800 pound Leatherback being weighed was pretty odd.

The thing I like best about being a member of Project GloBAL: The opportunity to try to mitigate the damage I do with my insatiable love of seafood.

Conservationist I most admire: Steve Roady. I have seen the man actually defy the laws of physics and be in two different places at the same time!

When I'm not working on Project GloBAL I like to: Work in the garden or on my house, play soccer, do a little birding or snap a few pictures, daydream about exotic scuba diving vacations...

Ten years from now, I hope I will be doing: I hope to be diving at one of a global system of MPAs based on biologically, statistcally and economically sound ecosystem models and eating sustainably harvested sashimi.
