Rhema Bjorkland

Name: Rhema Kerr Bjorkland
Country: US via Jamaica
Occupation: Conservation ecologist
Specialty: Biodiversity assessment and monitoring; Caribbean herpetofauna
Best part about my job: Providing tools for sound resource management
Biggest challenges I face: Not sweating the small stuff.
Why I like being a member of the Duke Center for Marine Conservation and/or Project GloBAL:  The mission is vital, the focus, global and the team has incredible   camaraderie
Professional Organization Memberships: IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC), Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network (WIDECAST)
When I’m not working on Project GloBAL I like to: hike, fish, read detective novels and bird watch
Ten years from now, I hope I will be: working in a multinational agency while maintaining research and teaching links with academia.
